Cornerstone completes its mission

The end or a new direction?

Cornerstone has been ministering in the West Midlands, South Staffordshire and even Liverpool with Children's works, Friendship Coffee Bars, Family Centres, Hostels for vulnerable young adults and much, much more.
Gradually funding has decreased and running costs increased and although staff sacrificially gave up time and finance to keep Cornerstone operating, in the end, donations were not enough to sustain the charity.

Reluctantly to avoid going into debt with little prospect of meeting our obligations, Cornerstone agreed that this was the time to end this chapter in its mission. It was almost to the Day 30 years ago that Cornerstone began its journey. We give thanks to God for all the staff and supporters that have given so generously over this time. We give thanks to The Lord God for graciously allowing us to be partakers in this mission which has touched the lives of so many people.

Cornerstone has not disappeared!

Two of the sister works - Quest in Wales and City Centre at Ethel Street have always been separated charities. They will not restart the work Cornerstone did, but will be used as the base for a new and relevant mission for a new generation.
